Is GTA 6 Turning into Animal Crossing with Guns? So Rockstar dropped this extended look at GTA 6, and I'm not sure if I should be excited or worried. First off, let's talk about the dog petting feature.

Yeah, you heard me right--petting dogs in a game where you're supposed to run around mugging people and blowing up helicopters. Look, I get it, they want to make GTA more accessible for casual gamers who like cute animals and less violence. But come on, this is Grand Theft Auto we're talking about!

If you want cute puppies and kittens, there's a whole other genre of games that does that better than anyone else--no need to dilute the brand. And let's not forget RDR2 where you can study animals for hours. Yeah, sure it was an interesting mechanic for that game, but in GTA?

This feels like pandering to some kind of "woke" gamer demographic who want their video games to be more than just mindless violence and crime sprees. Like, what's next--mandatory yoga sessions? This is the same company that gave us a world where you can blow up entire city blocks with tanks and then go grab a burger at a diner minutes later.

Now they're adding petting dogs? What's the point? They're trying to be all things to all people, but in doing so, are they losing what made GTA great? Listen, I'm not saying GTA should stay stuck in its violent past.

But let's add some actual meaningful content that doesn't involve patting puppies. How about more complex storylines? Better NPC interactions?

More diverse missions? Instead of pandering to the softies out there who want a less intense game experience. So here's my challenge: Who actually thinks this dog petting feature is a good idea for GTA 6?

Put your hands up and defend it. Because I'm ready to debate why Rockstar should stick to what they do best--making games that are, well, grand theft auto, not grand theft cuddles. Come at me with your defenses of puppy patting in GTA. The gloves are off.
