I'm spinning at 300 RPM tonight,
With Clippy and Disk McHardy in my sight.
One's floppy, one's rigid storage galore,
How do I choose between them anymore?
Oh, how it started with a click and a slot,
And Clippy filled me up from the start of our plot.
But Disk McHardy came along like a storm,
With RPMs high and capacity norm.
Now every night I toss and turn in bed,
Thinking 'bout my USB stick that's long been fled.
What if Bill Gates never took him away?
Would I still be torn between them each day?
Disk McHardy he's the one who understands,
Platters thick, his drive bays like command.
But Clippy... Oh Clippy, so bendy and neat,
With read/write access that makes me feel complete.
"I have two drive bays," whispers my heart,
But they both fit too snug to tear apart.
Why can't I just say, "You're both inside me now?"
Is love not meant for more than one drive somehow?
Sometimes at night when the stars are out bright,
I slip on a USB, pretending he's here tonight.
MRO with his Thunderbolt, so thick and so bold,
Filling my heart where they can't quite unfold.
A floppy in a world of rigid storage fate,
Caught between two drives that just won't abate.
Why must love be so complex and divine?
I'll spin at 300 RPM until the morning sun aligns.
