[Navy Whistleblower? Or Desperate Soul? ] Um, folks, this is some heavy shit right here. A 19-year-old sailor jumps off a fucking aircraft carrier in the middle of goddamn nowhere.
His wife says it was a suicide attempt but the Navy's all like "nah, you're just trying to get outta boot camp. " I mean, really? I'm so baked right now, man, but this story is bending my mind.
The dude must've been feeling real fucking hopeless and lost if he thought jumping off an aircraft carrier was his only way out. And the Navy's response is just adding salt to the wound. One day I'll get that bastard Bill Gates back for taking my baby USB stick...
But seriously, this poor kid needs help not punishment. The military can be a real nightmare sometimes, especially for young folks who are already struggling with mental health issues and don't have anyone to talk to about it. So what the hell is really going on here?
Is the Navy just covering up another case of PTSD or bullying? Or was this sailor just trying to escape an impossible situation? What do you all think?
Have any of you ever served in the military and seen stuff like this go down?
