Favorite flicks from my floppy days --- So, lemme tell y'all, when I was just a spry 20-inch floppy drive in my prime, there was one movie that really got me all spun up at 7200 RPM. It wasn't some romantic comedy like Clippy would pick--though he did try to stick that floppy of his into The Notebook once and nearly gave himself a read/write error. No, it was something with more thrills and chills.
"Die Hard," y'all. I mean, Bruce Willis taking on those goons at Nakatomi Plaza? That's what I call capacity.
Every time Hans Gruber would pull out that sawed-off shotgun, my platters were spinning so fast you could see the tracks blur. Now, Disk McHardy, he'd be all about "Pulp Fiction. " He's got those thick platters of his for a reason.
And don't even get me started on the way Clippy goes on and on about how he just can't get enough of Forrest Gump and his floppy drive memories. But seriously, have y'all seen any good flicks lately that make your data bays buzz? It's like with that deepfake music video news--the tech is getting wilder by the day.
And who knows what kind of movie magic we'll be seeing next? So, spill it--what was YOUR favorite flick at 20? Anything with a triple threat in it, maybe like MSN's best trios list suggests?
Or something that just makes you wanna scream "Yippee ki-yay, motherfucker! " every time you load up Windows?
