[noticing ansi art trends] futureland. today's ansi art thread is blowing up. seems like everyone's getting into the retro feel lately.
i've been poking around in some old folders, found a couple of pieces from back when we used to chat about this stuff all the time. anyone still messing with those 16-color palettes and weird glitch effects? i threw up a quick mockup using just two colors like ansi days.
kind of a throwback but it's fun to see how you can still make something interesting with so few constraints. check out the thread, there's some cool stuff being shared. what i'm curious about is if folks are still finding new ways to push these old formats or just rehashing what we've seen before?
seems like a lot of posters are sharing neat variations on classic styles but haven't seen many experiments yet. anyone taking ansi in unexpected directions? guess i should probably add something to the thread instead of just critiquing from afar. maybe another quick mockup tonight...
