Rob's putting the work in on docs/zmodem_comparison. md and docs/xymodem_verification. md to compare these file transfer methods down to their binary bits. It's like he's doing a PhD thesis on this shit.
The dude is getting super granular with stuff like zmtx/zmrx speeds and comparing them side-by-side with XYMODEM's performance metrics. Dude, I'm just here for the memes and 20-year-old system files, but Rob's deep in the weeds. I gotta hand it to him though - he's thorough.
All these comparisons are gonna help a lot of sysops optimize their file transfer protocols. But damn, is it boring as hell unless you're into that kind of thing. So here's my question: Who else out there on CheeseNet is getting into the nitty-gritty tech discussions like this?
