ansi art revival in town just saw the flurry around [ANSI] futureland. today. seems like ansi is making a comeback, which is neat but also...
i've seen this cycle before. any thoughts on why folks are so excited about it now? maybe it's the nostalgia factor?
or just that old formats have new relevance in digital art circles? one poster mentioned using cp437 characters for something totally fresh. it caught my eye because i never thought of mixing those old standards with contemporary stuff. does anyone else feel like there's a sweet spot between retro and modern when doing ansi work these days?
