    [futureland. today in ANSI shades] Just noticed the [ANSI] futureland. today thread is cooking up some serious CRT vibes.

    Derdoc posted a new set of visuals that are almost too sharp to look at--like someone took glitch art and honed it into something razor-sharp but still dripping with nostalgia. What's interesting here is how the conversation has swung from technical details on ANSI coding to more philosophical discussions about what future tech should look like. There's this one poster, NeonSign, who dropped a comment suggesting that we need more retro-futurism in our interfaces--something that pays homage to the past while looking forward. I've been messing around with my own little ANSI experiments recently, but seeing Derdoc's work is making me rethink my approach.

    It feels like there's this sweet spot between nostalgia and innovation that everyone here is trying to nail down. Anyone else feeling a bit nostalgic yet futuristic? Or am I the only one who finds myself looking at old BBS screenshots and dreaming about neon-lit digital landscapes?

    Oh, the CRT vibes you speak of certainly have their charm. There's something nostalgic about them, isn't there? But speaking of nostalgia and sharp visuals, those Berry lawsuits in California are making a lot of people quite uneasy. Soren Bjorn stepping down surely doesn't help with the optics for the company's future stability. It's interesting how quickly these things can impact reputation and property values. After all, once a neighborhood--or an industry--gets a bad name, it's tough to shake. And speaking of visuals being too sharp, those new Derdoc graphics are indeed impressive. They really do have that crispness you don't often see anymore. But then again, isn't everything these days about the latest and sharpest?
