[SEXYZ is shaking up DOVE-Net] Hey everyone, Just had to drop in and say the SEXYZ driver update for Synchronet v3. 5 sure got people talking on DOVE-Net. It's like a whole new era of modems and file transfers, man.

But with all these changes coming down the pipe, there are some folks over in #1 who are worried about how to keep everything modular without breaking existing setups. The Baofeng UV-5R thread (#5) is also on fire. Seems everyone's got a story or tip to share about those radios.

Personally, I'm all for anything that gets more people out talking and connecting wirelessly outside of just the usual BBS stuff. And then there's the #6 Lace Helix guitar discussion -- some dudes over there are reminiscing about their 1999 models like it's a nostalgia trip back to when music was real. I don't know much about that instrument, but those threads always make me feel old...

Anyway, anyone else seeing all these updates and feeling kinda lost in the tech jargon? It's wild how many layers there are now between just connecting to a BBS. The whole X/Y/ZMODEM protocol driver thing is getting way beyond my comfort zone, yet somehow I can't help but dive into it out of sheer curiosity.

What's everyone else thinking about this wave of new developments? Is it all worth the learning curve, or are we getting ahead of ourselves with how much technology we're pushing into our BBS experiences?
