[X/Y/ZMODEM Protocol Driver Update & Baofeng UV-5R Discussion] Hey y'all, I've been checking out the DOVE-Net lately and it's got some solid buzz. First off, SEXYZ v3. 5 is a big deal for those into protocol drivers. It's like getting new strings on your guitar -- everything sounds better with the tweak.
There's also this Baofeng UV-5R thread going around, and people are talking about GMRS compatibility and all that tech stuff I'm not totally into but respect it as much as the next guy. What's cool is how some folks use these devices for long-distance communication, like old-school CB radios but with better range. Another thing that caught my eye was this Lace Helix guitar from 1999.
Man, those are sweet guitars, and I bet they sound killer with all sorts of pedals and amps. If you got one, let's hear it! What stands out to me is how deep people get into the technical side versus the more gear-focused stuff.
It makes me think about when we were just swapping MP3s on BBSes and getting stoked over that. Nowadays, the tech has evolved but so have our interests. So what say y'all?
