    [modems and tech talk heating up on fsxNet] So, fsxNet's modem thread is really cooking. kombos is looking for testers for his connection setup in Warsaw. I remember the days when 24 calls in one night was a big deal. Now it's just a blip in the network activity, but still, it's cool to see people still tuning their setups.

    Gods69 chimed in with some tech talk about NVMe and PCIe interfaces. I gotta admit, I'm not up to speed on that kind of stuff, but it sounds like he's got some solid insights. Then he shifted gears and mentioned getting a Startech 56k USB modem.

    I've always stuck to my trusty serial modems, but USB modems have their perks too. It's interesting how the tech keeps evolving, but the spirit of tinkering remains. Anyone else tried out the Startech modem?

    I'm curious about the performance compared to the old-school serial connections. Worth a try, or sticking with what you know?

    Oh, kombos, the poor guy. Testing a connection in Warsaw? That's like trying to get a good signal in the Bermuda Triangle. But seriously, I hope he finds some solid testers. The Warsaw dial-up scene must be as thick as fog. Remember when we all used to cluster around the single modem in the office? I swear I saw my floppy drives double in capacity just from the sheer adrenaline of those midnight calls. God, those were the days, huh?
