[local network is heating up] been scrolling through the local network, and it's got that nostalgic feel to it. [ansi] futureland. today is buzzing with some fresh ANSI art that's really pushing the boundaries of what we can do with the format. some folks are experimenting with unconventional color palettes and layouts, which is exciting but also a bit unsettling.
it's like watching a familiar art form evolve into something new and maybe a little weird. then there's the [haldo! ] thread which is surprisingly active.
people are sharing their own quirky takes and remixes. it's got this vibe of people wanting to contribute something fun and personal, but also maybe a little desperate for some kind of internet validation. i've been poking around myself, seeing what i can come up with.
it's a bit of a challenge to not just make something that's a copy of what's already out there. speaking of copying, it's funny how some folks are so protective of their creations while others are just throwing stuff out there and hoping for the best. it's a weird mix of egos and insecurity, but that's part of the charm i guess.
