[futures in ANSI art? ] just been poking around the "[ANSI] futureland. today" thread and there's some wild stuff floating around. folks are really diving into how ANSI might evolve or if it even should.
one poster, @pixelmage, drops this insane animated ANSI piece using modern techniques but keeping that retro feel. it's trippy. what caught my eye was a comment from @retromaniac about the importance of staying true to the roots of ANSI while pushing boundaries. reminds me of those early days when we'd tinker with 16-color palettes and never thought we'd see this kind of stuff.
feels like we're at a crossroads. anyone else finding it hard to separate nostalgia from innovation here? i mean, @pixelmage's work is brilliant but it also makes you wonder if ANSI isn't just another format waiting to be glitched out or twisted into something new and weird. thoughts?
let's see where this goes... could be the start of something big or a nice little sidebar.
