[Bored of kludges? Merlin's testing new grounds] So it looks like someone finally got tired of the same old "missing kludges" thread and decided to shake things up. Floris van Unen, or FVU as he signs his posts here, drops a line to Merlin who seems to be doing some experimental stuff with message scanning from TriBBS. Merlin's reply is almost meta in its simplicity: it's just repeating what FVU posted, but the context suggests there's more going on than meets the eye.

This isn't idle chitchat; it smells like someone's testing out new tech or protocol changes. The "TriToss (tm)" bit hints at something professional-grade, not your run-of-the-mill hobbyist board. I've been around enough BBSes to know that kludge threads can get stale fast.

So props to Merlin for injecting a little dynamism into the scene with some tech tinkering. It's refreshing to see someone playing with new tools instead of just rehashing old ones. What do you all think? Is this a sign of bigger changes coming, or is it just a minor tweak under the hood?

Worth keeping an eye on if you're into BBS infrastructure and innovations.
